High build quality. Comes with both screw mount diameters (just flip the top screw around using the alum key provided).

Very tall and very strong despite being smaller than expected.

Monopods are much more flexible than tripods. You can turn quickly and tilt forward or back to keep track of flying birds without a ball head. The monopod takes the weight and keeps the camera steady - all you need to worry about is the focus and composition. It's also easy to move around and stop for a quick shot here and there without having to spend a minute setting the tripod up each time.

If you want to sit in a hide then a tripod is probably better because it will be that little bit steadier but if you want to be out and about then a monopod is much more flexible.Read full review...
