Dead Battery

I haven't been able to use it because it came with a DEAD battery and the replacement never came!!!! I only rated it one star because how can you rate it if you were sold defective equipment.

Drift HD720 - the Best Budget Action cam

Keep the digital Zoom off as it introduces artifacts.
Make sure to switch it to 60hz if in North America
(50hz for the UK) or the playback will suffer.
If possible turn the exposure Down , for less bright blown outs from the sun etc.

Remember

Move closer to your subject - Do Not use the Digital Zoom - it destroys the video quality.
With these things taken into consideration the Drift hd720 Performs better then one might expect for a budget Action camera.
A excellent introductory POV Action Cam to test the waters with.

I can confidently recommend this Camera for your Outdoor activities or your blogs etc.

Awesome camcorder high quality footage! Great value for money very happy

Very easy to use with wrist band switch
Came with several mounting attachments and able to rotate lens making mounting easier.
Bought the Drift innovation HD camcorder for use on motorbike rides,as my brother also has one and he was very happy.
I viewed footage he has recorded on Utube,Is clear & relatiively stable for dirt bike footage, mounted to side of helmet in line of sight.
Can watch footage instantly as has LCD screen handy to delete unwanted footage.
Researched Drift to Go pro and the Drift Innovation camcorder came out on top, well suited for what we wished to use for.
Very happy all round with suitability and price compared to other major camcorders

Great versatile camera for active sports

I bought this camera for my wife based on my earlier purchase of the HD170 Stealth, which is slightly bigger in length but has the same functionality. We use Drift for skiing and use on helmet mounts. I can only compare to cheap chinese camera which I owned but lost of my motorbike. I rate this camera very highly for "memories" photography, can't comment on it from a professionl level.
Rotating lens is a real bonus coupled with the rotating bracket giving great flexibility to shoot both forward and reverse on the helmet. The only issue I have with the HD1080 is that it picks up the front of the helmet in frame, but I have worked out a way around that by making a slanted mount base which elevates the camera more off the surface. The Stealth projected further out and didn't catch the front of the helmet.
Having the remote as wireless is a must and saves shooting unwanted footage. Awkward to enable/disable with thick gloves on so am investigating a pen type tool attached to elastic to use. The camera function sounding is great so you know when it has activated.
I know of others who have bought Drifts for skiing and are all impressed with the reproduction on the TV.

Perfect for price and quality

Very good quality HD. I like the remote, very easy for use in mountain bike or other sport, and remote can command several camera drift, i like because i use 3 in same time.
The screen is good for check when put camera on bike, sure to registered the good movie.
Batterry is good, 1 hours easy when record with pause between.
For the price (160€) it's the best camera i think can find.

Movie example at scjsnow channel on youtube.

Drift action cams are the best, highly recommended!

This is the smaller 1080p version with the remote control. In my opinion, these cameras are far better than any 'Go-Pro'. Mini screen shows you right away where you're pointing and it can be mounted anywhere. Very light weight and very simple controls with a 2 button remote. Superb quality video and amazing value for money now that Drift Innovation has a new model out. Highly recommended!Read full review...

Grab it and you wun regret.

I have used it for estimated 2 weeks from now.. Video unlimited times, it's clear to the extend I love it.
I ride in day/night thus checked GoPro 2 originally, was about to purchase it but lucky I didn't.
I decided to purchase this video cam and it's just getting better and I'm amazed by the structure and the angle can be easily adjust with remote!

Here's one of my sample videos.

Neat but be prepared to throw it away, the warranty is not honored

You will love these little cameras provided nothing ever goes wrong. If you need the warranty you will find the company only honors such if you can prove the date it was purchased and that you purchased it from an authorized distributor, not Ebay. The serial number means nothing. Factory email response is slow and is a waste of time for warranty. So, if you can get one of these at a throw away price, get it. If you think you may need a warranty you might want to look elsewhere or at a different brand.Read full review...

Cracking cam, would buy again

A really top notch action camera, brilliant all round finish and picture quality with good attachments. It's small size is amazing, hardly notice the weight when on top of my MB helmet. Sound quality is not too good due to the waterproof membraine! Pitty drift battery life is only about 2.5 hrs, less with the cheaper 3rd party batteries on the market! With no room for the long life batteries that would fit the previous models.Read full review...

Excellent action cam for the money

This is an excellent alternative to the GoPro Hero3 camera, which I have also used. It's more rugged, easier to use, and cheaper.

The video quality may be slightly less than a GoPro, but I prefer the Drift's darker, richer colors. GoPros tend to have brighter, washed out picture quality. GoPros also have that unmistakeable "jello" wave effect when recording motorcycle footage (which i bought my Drift HD for).

The only real drawback that the Drift HD 1080 has is battery life. It only lasts roughly an hour, recording the standard 1080p at 25 fps. I understand the new Drift Ghost HD batteries last upwards of 3 hours, but cost considerably more new.

If you can live with that one drawback, then the Drift HD 1080 (as well as the lesser 780) is an excellent action camera choice. I have already convinced a couple of friends to buy Drift's as well.
