VERY CLEAR. VERY!!!!
I've read SLAMS on these. I've been doing GREAT car stereos with LIMMITED funds for nearly 20 YEARS. 1st place in my 1st comp with ~$400 invested, against guys who didnt pay thier child support for a while. Back then I had a pair of sony 6x9 2ways in boxes. I always listen to each speaker before buying, and SONY ALWAYS ARE THE BEST FOR THE BUCK!!! So, I had little reserve in buiyng these untested,thinking I got the model up, then reading reviews on these and starting to fear dissapointment.THE TWEET AND MID-HIGHS SOUND PERFECT.Can produce lows but will distort if amped at high volume which is why a HIGH PASS FILTER will comp ready these. They can act more like a fuller range clearer horn.IM HAPPY WITH THEM IN MY NEW SYSTEM. SONY 6x9's in the back ofcource, and a SINGLE ported 12' SUB with enough juice, is all you need to sound good.Read full review...
Excellent choice for stock replacement!
When I was looking to upgrade my stock speakers in my Honda Civic and Prelude, I tried these Sony speakers. I have been incredibly satisfied with the sound quality, easy of installation, and value! I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking to replace their stock speakers. They work tremendously well with the power output of the Sony head unit I installed in both vehicles. These speakers are excellent... great sound and range. A quality product at a reasonable price!I am very happy with my purchase. Great speakers if you know how to solder them into your cars wiring. Sound awesome and look great too.
Good speakers for the price.
Sound is not bad for the price. Very little bass. Magnets on the back are small. Mid range is OK. These would probably sound better with an amp.

i bought these for my harley davidson and i like them so far they sound great.i would buy them again if im working on another harley and compared to some other 6.5 these are the best.
