Fabulously engrossing old novel.

I read this book way back in the late 1970's. I had read The Fog, The Rats and The Lair, by James Herbert,and I was kind of expecting the same thing ; a horror / thriller. I was really surprised and totally transfixed with Fluke, a book about a reincarnation; a dog who has memories of once being a man and his journey to find the family he left behind. I bought this copy recently for a work colleague after I was talking about the book and she seemed very interested. I am hoping she enjoys the read as much as I did. The film was quite good too, though I preferred the book. If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it. A fabulous story. Read full review...

brilliant

This is possibly the best book I have ever read never been able to look at my dog the same way again. Certain teaches you to treat you best friend with the utmost respect.
