Best way to add HD radio to your existing or new radio with no HD receiver.

If your current radio has no HD radio and you don't plan to replace it with one that has build-in HD radio, then this is what you want to get. This unit work very much like XM/Sirius satellite receivers except you get free HD programming and there is hardly any interruptions from trees and buildings like satellite radio. After having it in for two years.....read on....

Installed myself and it seemed ok in the beginning but the buttons(not great quality) on the main unit started to 'act up'. So much to the point where the only way to change stations I had to completely rely on the remote control.
Trying to drive AND use the remote control is NOT the safest environment to be in.
Now, thru a second cold winter, I find that it will not tune any stations (including pre-sets) until I get the car cabin warmed up. The COLD is definitely effecting the initial use of it and have read similar reports throughout the web.
These are two major reasons I'm hunting to replace it with an in-dash unit that has HD Radio built-in.
Can't get away from HD as most of the stations I listen to are on the 'sub' channels.
I will add that when it is working the sound quality is good but not the best out there and a really good antenna is necessary and even though I near a major city market, some stations just won't lock in that have 'sub' channels(note: my main in-dash radio has no problem getting the station in question).Read full review...
