Dell 19" 1280x1024 Ultrasharp Monitors are very good - 1280x1024 IS NOT Widescreen

These are excellent monitors and from the 12 or so I have purchased since 2007 they work well and have a long lifespan. All the 19" dell ultrasharp models(not widescreen) I have bought have also had the usb hub built in with 4 usb ports and that is a nice feature. There are SEVERAL ebay sellers that list these 1908FPT 1907FTP 1901FP 190FP and others as widescreen. They are not. Some of those sellers even appear to be trying to scam the buyer by photographing the Monitor at an angle that makes them appear widescreen. None of the monitors rated at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 are widescreen. 19" widescreen monitors are 1440 x 900 resolution. (1680 x 1050 resolution is found on 20" and 22" widescreens ) They are very good monitors and I personally prefer 4:3 ratio (standard width) monitors for office users especially when I use them like I often do in dual monitor configurations. In fact some dual monitor video cards and/or drivers do not properly support widescreen in dual configurations.Read full review...
