An honest review of the Rough Ryder Denim Micarta Wharncliffe slip joint knife RR2181
The Rough Ryder Denim Micarta Wharncliffe swayback slip joint knife RR2181 is amazing value at 1/3 of the price of the comparative Case XX rough black Delrin copperlock Wharncliffe blade knife, a Case knife that I own & use. The RR2181 has a similar sized 3" Wharncliffe blade even though its closed size at 3.87 " is smaller than the Case knifes 4.25" closed size . Its all over fitting & finish on its handles, springs, blades, liners, bolster & rivet pins is well up to the standards of expensive knife brands and compared to my expensive Case Wharncliffe knife has a " meatier " handle made of layered black & blue compressed denim micarta that is pleasant to grip whilst using the knife to press cut materials or make precision cuts & it has very good spring tension with a nice snap both at the half stop & closure. It has a lanyard hole & I carry my knife in a pocket slip & extract it with ease using the lanyard. I highly recommend to anybody needing a sharp & reliable work knife to buy one of these !
