Either a light romp or profound social commentary

Lovely sweet innocent film which nonetheless hints at darker themes for adults. How I wish the world were still like it is in this film. All colours & creeds are depicted & there is total integration & delight at the coronation & Queen Elizabeth herself. Children are treated as children & all adults unquestioningly protect & discipline them. That's how it was & should still be today.
Far more accurate representation of what people actually felt & believed than the sour ignorant biased garbage that labels itself 'revisionist' history that dominates all media today.
Blooper: the 'Australian' is carrying a New Zealand flag.
The accents of the 'American' couple are hilarious. Only adds to the charm
Background scenes are a treasure trove of village life & what shops were like. Lovely stuff.
Note how well dressed everyone is (nothing to do with wealth) & how slim they are. This is how it really was because there was self respect & restraint then.
Watch & learn.
