Poor quality material
The rubber is so hard it is impossible to get a good seal regardless o softening the gasket (laying flat in a warm room, using heat gun).

Seals it up good
Just be patient for about an hour after installation for it to straighten itself out. The door may not shut properly right away, but it will. Lean something against it in the short term.
