Made for the guitar type.

Specifically made fir Gibson ,Epiphone guitars. Also has a hex screwdriver head on the end of the handle for removing the screws on the truss rod cover. Also very high quality.

I bought it for a epophone 335 but it didn't fit because it didn't have a gibson type truss rod but a normal Allen bolt

This does fit Gibson's nut of 8mm, although I did have to slightly widen the chute that houses the truss rod nut.
