It leaks past the valve ,slightly .
The valve is flat , the bucket is round .
I would recommend using a warm heat source to soften the plastic bucket , before installing the spigot .
The plastic in the bucket will conform to the spigot seal .Read full review...

Can't go wrong
I use it for my motor oil and it does not leak one bit. Just keep in mind that if you use for motor oil bucket set up of vegetable oil the flow rate will be a bit slow
