Beautiful, Lovely Outfit

There's no denying that Mattel's special, anniversary and collector edition Barbies are some of the loveliest dolls they make, and the 50th Anniversary Scotland Barbie is no different. She has a beautifully painted Mackie face and her outfit consists of buckled clogs, knee-highs, bagpipes and appropriate hat and dress that realistically depict Scottish attire. Adorable doll so reminiscent of Scotland --- love it!

This doll is darling --- the kilt and bagpipes are native to Scotland. My son was born there and was able

One of the last great retail dolls produced

Although at this point more of a collectible doll than a "toy" per se, this one came out during the final days of the manufacturer's good-quality retail dolls (after 2010, retail dolls seriously dropped in quality).

With one straight arm and one bent, to better emulate her holding the bagpipes, this doll is almost perfect in all aspects: a great face/head mold, great eye paint/makeup, and and outfit which can be removed without causing permanent damage (a growing rarity in collectible dolls).

Although nowhere near the uniqueness of other collectible dolls such as the Athéna, Cleopatra or the Wicked Witch Of The West (Fantasy Glamour), this one should appeal to collectors into the Dolls Of The World line(s).Read full review...
