I Scored Big Time on this One
I had one of these when it first came out around 2002 & I loved it. It was stolen so I always wanted another one & this one for the price ($44.00 Shipped) is Outstanding Thank You Goodwill of Gorham, ME.
It has the original wires & is in Great shape & it sounds exactly like I remembered. The only 2 things anybody could complain about (which I'm Not) is the back cover is missing & it is a little worn on the power & volume buttons but it is 15 or so years old so there are absolutely no complaints.

Exactly as promised
I previously owned this stereo shelf unit and had it for 16 years. I rediscovered its sound quality a few years ago and started using it again. Unfortunately it was on its last leg. I was so happy to find that there where units available on eBay and even more happy when my package arrived. The product looked almost new with all the original parts. Sony cmt-ex1, Great sound from a small package.
Sony cmt-ex1 micro system. Single CD AM-FM 3 piece bookshelf stereo unit with remote control. Surprisingly full sound from small speakers. Substantial clarity and volume from a well designed, aesthetically pleasing, high quality, solidly built unit. No booming bass or thumping sub woofers here. Simply very good all around sound quality on CD playback (My primary use). I have one in a 400 square foot room and it sounds great. The remote is good to have but there are manual controls on the unit itself. The back lighting is a not overly bright blue. I have owned two of these and would by again.
