Good value

Mocked by friends with smart phones this inexpensive phone does what I need a phone for. It sends and receives telephone calls and texts and I don't need to worry about its battery running down or where the nearest charging point is. I am also not distracted by the minute to minute checking of emails or playing games (it does have some) and so does not interrupt social events or become a pain in public. Its best virtue now is that it cannot receive Pokemon Go, the new zombie maker. It is compact, easy to carry and not worth stealing. I bought a bespoke leather case which is very good. I normally carry a camera so don't need one on the phone and haven't fallen off a cliff taking selfies. I shall be taking it to festivals where the long stand by time is a bonus and its size means it can be tucked away safely in my clothing. It is also a good choice as an emergency phone in the car. Overall although i have only just started using it I am very pleased.Read full review...

DISAPPOINTED

Battery life is very short or the phone switches itself off and needs to be recharged. I CANNOT get rid of the predictive text etc and many of my friends have tried it just keeps going back to it. This is a shame as my old Nokia was a great little phone had it for years still works fine. I am going to get it unlocked and continue with it.Read full review...

Cheap phone for travelling

This a basic unlocked phone, no internet function, which is exactly what I needed. It also has dual SIM capability. Set-up with a local SIM card was quick and easy and with only one SIM card fitted it behaved as a single SIM phone. It can have different tones for each SIM and also has an alarm clock with multiple settings. The battery life on standby is easily 5 days. An unusual feature helpful when travelling is a flashlight although this has to be turned on and off via the multiple level menu so not instant to operate. Given its low spec the only downsides are a rather flimsy plastic case and awkward keyboard operation for texting compared to my Nokia Slide. I used this phone in Barbados which is very expensive for roaming and found it a very useful tool for its price. Read full review...

Great little phone

Great little phone no fuss no hassle easy to use. I bought this for my girlfriend who has a smart phone and tablet and she was getting no use use out of her phone because of the tablet. She is very happy with it very compact phone slips in her bag easy. I would recommended to anyone who is getting bored of all these smart devices. It does not have what's app or Facebook but it does take in coming calls and phones out and text msg what else to you need of you already have a tablet. Stuck a giffgaff sim card in it and for a fiver a month you get 125 and too text, prefect for my girlfriend as she hardly used the phone. Brucey bonus is that the phone does not need to be charged every day like a smartphone. Delivery of the phone was very good I ordered it in the afternoon about 4 on a Thursday and it came Saturday morning recorded delivery. To sum this up if your sick of all the hassle of a smartphone and don't use the phone much this is the phone for you a must buy. It takes a normal size aim card not nano or micro but get a giffgaff all in one and your ready to go. Read full review...

Great phone all round

As a basic phone, no camera, card storage or recording, it's excellent value. V-e-r-y long battery life, responsive, compact size but with user friendly buttons, good sound quality. Great value all round.Read full review...

Nokia 105

I bought this phone to replace the same make and model that I carry on my bike. It is basic but serves as an emergency phone. I don't use a mobile, so cannot really compare with others with more bells and whistles, but this is fine for me. One thing to warn about tho'. My previous model had a different charger input to this one. So best to check before purchase in case that is a problem. This one uses a round plug. My previous one used a small flat USB plug.Read full review...

Great value

Great little phone at a great price. Very easy to handle, didn't even have to consult the instruction booklet. Can't believe that a Nokia can be this cheap and I am very pleased with the quality and look of this phone. Keys are highly visible and easy to use, and positive when pressed, screen colour is excellent. Messaging couldn't be simpler with easy to read large print screen. Big advantage is that the keyboard is automatically locked so you can't make accidental calls. I have no negative comment to make.Read full review...

Good Old Nokia cellphones

Though this particular model was commercialized since the beginning of 2013, its technology, sustainability and look takes after the good old Nokia cellphones. Remember those Nokia that could last weeks without charging, simple to use, call and exchange messages. This one even comes with the Snake game on xD
A cellphone whose battery holds up weeks is also a cellphone that will endure longer. The problem with nowadays cellphones is that they have so many functionalities that their power dries up batteries very quick, using its processors and graphics much more which translate in smaller life spans. So if you're up to someplace where you're not comfortable tanking your high-end and expensive smart phone, where might be stolen or something, or places where you don't need apps or internet, and just need the telecommunication connectivity this small and light device is just the thing, i take it when i go running for example. And because this model was released in 2013 it already has the USB and output sound Standard entrances of nowadays.
Therefore, this product, taking into account its market niche and direct comparable competitors (which are very few, these devices are getting rarer and rarer) I'm giving a 5 star score.

Poor keypad locking.

Bought this as a replacement for an old Nokia 100 that finally died. Works OK on the whole and quite fair for the money with all the same features as the 100, but the keypad locking is very poor. The old 100 needed 2 buttons pressed one after the other in the right order to unlock the keypad, but this 105 unlocks on just one button so it's very prone to making calls from your pocket.

Not such an issue for me as I only really have a mobile for emergencies, so I've simply started keeping it in a 2oz tobacco tin to stop the buttons being pressed accidentally. If you need a phone to carry in your pocket and receive calls and texts then I would advise you to look for something else.
