Door locks

The locks do their job and work well. The issue I have with them is that they do not fit as factory. They don't fit flush against the door. The gasket supplied does not fit the bosses on the tumbler housing so when installed It looks bad. I had to trim them round once the locks were installed.

Grinding was required for fit

The item is described as fitting 1996 Ford F-150 XLT Extended Cab Pickup 2-Door 5.0L 302Cu. In. V8 GAS OHV Naturally Aspirated. The rubber trim ring on the door locks had to be cut down to fit smoothly because it is not cut sculpted on the inside diameter to match the shape of the door locks housing. Also, the existing locking clip for the door locks does not fit these new door locks. It was necessary to grind off part of the door lock housing for it to fit. There are obviously two different door lock styles included in this listed product as seen in the photo, but no instructions to explain the difference or where they go. There are not as many cuts on these keys as on the original lock keys leading to a question about their security being equal to the original.Read full review...

Works like a champ

Put this on my 2002 F250 Super Duty. Original locks had seized from corrosion and I only had one key for ignition, so this fit the bill nicely. Only complaint is that ignition sticks out from steering wheel column a little further than the original, so there is about a 5mm gap.Read full review...
