ice scratchers

well I bought a 2008 artic cat f1000 and the trails here in maine where as hard as rocks .sled would over heat but as soon as I put the ice scratchers to the trail in about 30 seconds it would stop over heating. things really dig into the hard stuff and though it up under the sled .they work great.Read full review...

Stiff cable should work good

Was able to attach scraper after drilling hole next size bigger. The cable is real stiff so had to figure out a way to hook the end so not in the snow all the time. I added to round hooks to hold in place.Read full review...

Duraflex, stay with something that is proven to work

I have tried many differant designs of scratchers and its like a broken record. It does not take long for the new designs to fail. If you think the new design has a weakness it will not take long to surface. The duraflex design is proven to stand the test of time where others fail. They are simple to install and wont let you down. Im tired of wasting my money looking for something better because i just dont think that exists. Read full review...

Stellar Engine & Hyfax Protection

Simple fit-up on 2013 Polaris Pro-R Switchback 800cc running a 136" Cobra track with 1.5" lugs & 156 Woody's Gold Digger picks. Ran almost all season without scratchers, then encountered groomed icy hard pack conditions. Stopped, dropped scratchers, and was impressed to see the engine temp drop from 174 degrees to 125 degrees in .6 (six tenths) mile. Stopped at road crossing, raised scratchers, crossed road, and watched engine temperature rise to 156 degrees and climbing at 1.2 miles on the same trail conditions. In this case, the cooling rate with scratchers down was more than double the heating rate with scratchers up. Heat is the enemy. These scratchers are an investment protection that perform incredibly well. Why jeopardize an expensive engine and hyfax sliders by running without? To save a buck? Save it somewhere else. Well built and keeps the sleds cool!

I put 3 sets on and they're all working great! The sleds run cooler when we ride the trails to get to where we boondock.

Save your money, but the spring ones.

Bought two sets, one broke off within 25 miles. Other ones keep falling off. DURAFLEX Customer service is of no help.
