Inspired lathe tool
What a amazing piece of kit. I wished It had been available when I spent years in a centre lathe trying to get exactly the right last few thousands of an inch on the button. This is a must for all users pro or diy. Lathe bed must be plumb before use as it should be anyway. I wish I had the mind to invent this! Great tool!Read full review...

Not very accurate - rough guide only!
Can I start by saying that this product is a superb idea and the engineering principle of it is very sound. Here's the but - it is not very accurate and suspect this is down to the cheap spirit level and holder used. This is a shame as the rest of the tool is superbly engineered and has a real quality finish. I now use it as a rough setting guide only. Do not rely soley on this for tool height setting or you will break tools and ruin your work. I am going to try and re-engineer this to improve it when I have the time - but that will have to wait. Tool centering on the lathe very simple and accurate.
This is a very simple way of centering your tools on the lathe. It is accurate and quick, but if you have more than one lathe the lathes all have to be level otherwise you will need one tool for each lathe.
