TOXIC, OVERPRICED Leather "cleaning" kit

When it comes to taking care of my car, I tend to be more on the picky side with the products used. I want a product that cleans and protects my leather, but is safe to use. This was the first product I chose since it was created by my car's manufacture. The kit consists of two bottles (leather cleaner & a leather conditioner) plus a sponge and a small piece of cloth. Overall the product is meh. It seemed to do an OK job at taking care of my leather seats, but I was not a fan of the smell. It absolutely reeks. Turns out that this product is pretty toxic as well, thus why I gave it a two star. All your doing is putting toxic chemicals on your seats that are a hazard to your health and could give you cancer. You must wear gloves and a mask when applying this product...but you are better off not using it all! I'm rather disappointed in Volvo for selling something like this. Not only is it waaay over priced, but it doesn't really seem to do much to the seats. I don't feel that my leather was getting adequate protection that would make me confident that the leather would last a long time.

If you want a REAL leather cleaning kit, you should choose Meguiar's or Lexol. These are two premium brands that are HALF THE PRICE of this but actually do the job right! Since writing this review, I have started using Lexol and the different is night and day. Not only does it smell much better, but I can FEEL the difference. My leather looks better and feels softer. Using this Volvo cleaning kit is just a bad idea and you should avoid it at all costs! Don't pay more for chemicals!Read full review...
