Core 2 Duo FTW - Fantastic Value - Runs Fast & Cool

Had some issues getting an old system running but i'm pretty sure it was motherboard related. Chip posted first attempt. I was so nervous about purchasing this cpu used, not knowing how hard it was pushed but after the past few days i'm extremely impressed. Chip arrived pretty quickly for free shipping, arrived in a small plastic tray inside a small padded envelope that seemed to keep it protected enough, but it's not overkill by any means. But I would probably ship the exact same way.

I'm extremely satisfied in the performance. My cpu runs cool, low 30's idling 47-53ish under 90-100% for an hour with a decent, beefed up stock cooler that sounds like a jet. This chip is just begging to be overclocked BUT honestly I've thrown some big games at it along with a new GTX 1050 ti (which I HIGHLY recommend) and this cpu/gpu combo just tears them up, Doom, COD MW Remastered, BF4, Watch Dogs..

Even though some of the brand new Core I3's are hanging with these chips - the value can't be beat. I'm tickled to death how my little budget pc runs and would definitely order from this vendor again. 30 day warranty, can't go wrong.

TL/DR - Runs cool, runs fast, great value, quick shipping. Would Recommend.

Great CPU to upgrade an older computer.

This CPU is great to upgrade an older computer and it performs well. I upgraded from Core2Duo E7500 to the Core2Quad Q9400 and the performance went up a lot. I put it in a Dell Optiplex 780 with a new heatsink to make it faster for a user.

Just make sure you clean it and use new thermal paste and it should work well for you for basic computing or office use. I am not a gamer, but I would not expect this to work well on modern games.

Excellent CPU for overclocking

I managed to overclock this CPU to (stable) 3.3GHz, which is around same as intel i5 2500 base clock. This was done using stock cooler and around 1.25-1.3V. Can't remember of the top of my head accurate values. Getting non-stock cooler would probably grant even better performance.
This will also work well as a mid-high range gaming PC CPU if paired with graphics card like r9 270-280 or equivalent nvidia card.

Great upgrade for an old pc

I had a 2 core intel cpu in a dell desktop, and came across articles where it said I could replace that with this 4 core cpu.
It has worked perfectly and gave the pc some extra speed and prolonged it’s life for like $10.
That’s a good deal! Shipping was very quick and well packed

Great little cpu!

I wish I had upgraded earlier. This cpu rocks in comparison to my core 2 duo. I bought it because my computer slowed down unbeknown to me at the time was due to the windows 10 update bug. I thought it was my cpu going out. Even with the windows 10 cpu bug this processor did not bog down at all. It was consistent. Great upgrade path for those sporting old core 2 duo socket 775 cpu's.Read full review...

As described.

If I hadn't known any better, I would have thought it was brand new. It looks new, feel new, and it works like new.
I ordered this along with some high-grade thermal compound, threw that joker in my machine with a little bit on there, and booted up (faster than usual) just fine.
Now, I did have to go through a little step by step process to get Task Manager to display all 4 cores correctly.
I went to Device Manager, and opened up the properties of "Processors", where I uninstalled the displayed "Intel Core 2 Duo" that was no longer installed. After that and a reboot, all was good, And I was able to display the utilization of each individual core.
I can now play my games smoothly! Thanks! (:

New heart into an old motherboard

Have upgraded to this processor as from a Dual Core 3GHz. I must say the performance in games has risen considerably, making gamplay more smooth. At simple day-to-day tasks it runs flawless, keeping load on an average of 5 to 15% max.
The oly con is that it gets hot very fast if loaded at 100%, so be shure to apply new thermal paste when installing it and also check your cooler if it can cool down processors up to 95W. Most of the time though at low load it keeps a cool 40C, medium load 60C and at max it can go as far as 80C.

CPU is in great operating condition

The CPU looked virtually unused cosmetically and installed as expected. I've been using the computer heavily over the last week doing everything from a new OS install, heavy 3D gaming to spreadsheets and web use. The computer is operating flawlessly.Read full review...

Great product from great seller. Delivery was complete for less than 10 days..
I bought it for old computer with Core2Duo e7400 CPU and got it replaced with q9400. PC is working a little bit faster for everyday use but it is more stable than before, in games there is much better and stable FPS and programs like photoshop, cinema 4d etc. are working much, much faster..

Great for older systems

It's a great part for upgrading older systems using the lga775 socket (especially in my case a dell optiplex 780) and it was so easy installing it.
