The Amazing Presto System!
Not just a bread slicer, not just a bread slicing guide, but a Bread slicing SYSTEM! You never realized that you needed an actual system to slice bread, but you DO! You don't just slice off a hunk of bread with a knife...OMG! How stupid are you? lt's far more complicated than you'd ever imagine, but the Presto System makes it so easy, even a dufus like you can do it! Makes it easy.
I use every groove for store bread thickness most of the time but for French or Texas toast I skip a groove. Mine came with an electric knife and it works but it is easier for me to use my regular bread knife (12 inch blade) and it is much quieter. Good last forever product. Incomparable Bread Slicer
This bread slicer is excellent for homemade bread. With the included electric knife it cleanly cuts 1/2” slices. There is an optional piece that allows thinner or thicker slices, but I didn’t need that. I was worried that it might not be wide enough for homemade loaves, but it accommodates 5 3/8” wide loaves.
Although it doesn’t fold up, I find the sturdiness to be a plus, and much better than flimsy fold up guides. I highly recommend the Presto.Read full review...

Nice and Heavy
Surprisingly Presto makes excellent things. Too bad they discontinued this as people with Celiac Disease who make their own bread use slicers all the time. This is the best I have used by far. Much better than wooden or bamboo types. Heavy, quality feel. Love it!
