These cables are a perfect solution to having a few more extra fans for those with limited motherboard 4 pin headers. The cable is very high quality flat style braided cable with heat shrink around the ends for extra durability and to hide that ugly ketchup and mustard cable. Does what it says on the tin!

I purchased the Gelid Solutions 1 to 4 PVM Splitter Cable, to assist me in fitting a Gigabyte GA-81DX Motherboard, in a Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case. The latter has a plethora of fans, in addition to the three (CPU, AGP & I-845 Brookdale Chip) on the Motherboard (which does not support PWM, but does monitor fan speeds), which need to be connected to the +12V power rail. These have a variety of connectors, including in-line standard 4 pole disk drive ones, and smaller 3 pole (for fan speed monitoring) ones, for which the fan splitter is suitable. Does exactly as required

Does no more & no less than intended. Just allows you to run multiple PWM fans taking their signal from 1 header, but allows the power load to come straight from the PSU. Most motherboard fan headers are rated for 1A max, more than a couple of powerful radiator-spec fans will draw above this. I use 4 fans with this splitter, no problems.Read full review...
