Affordable performance

Tested on Pioneer Class A Amp and Asus HD sound card

Pros
Nice lo-end headphones which are way better than store avaliable headphones in the 100-500 dollar range.
Good frequency response on Hi-Fi and decent external computer sound cards. Power and depth
is superb but you may need a external amplifier tqualizer one controls to find the ideal frequency response these speakers claim. For the general enthusiast this are a
affordable beginner unit- thats rugged and reliable.

Cons-
plenty of bass and midrange- missing some hi-end tweeter stuff for Strauss/Handel
to Metal music tests. Bass lovers won't care- but audio ethusiasts might.
The Frequency response should cover this but it doesnt.
This was noted on hi-end sound cards and hi-fis- you won't really notice
this on budget setups. Compared to previous generation Japanese made ATH-A500 units
it might be considered slight a step backward. Headphone rests for head
can be uncomfortable on some skull shapes. The backyard engineer may
just 'cut' these off and they become quite comfortable.

I give it 4.5 stars- the problems can be very minor- and mostly the fault of
the audio hardware quality- the high end equipment however fixes it.
