Quality Tool

I have purchased several of these both for home and for my staff at work. They're small enough to put into a small pocket. The thumbwheel and jaw has a very smooth operation. The scale comes in handy that has been laser etched onto the stationary part of the jaw. One side is metric, the other in fractions. The fractional side is graduated in 1/16ths up to 9/16" I measured the actual opening and the particular one that I measured will open to .630" or 5/8". However in general the torque needed to loosen or tighten a fastener of that size would exceed the limit on the wrench. The tag on the wrench does state 1/2" capacity. For the money this is a great little wrench that will come in handy for you.Read full review

Better than nothing, but not much..

It's a 4" adjustable wrench!! RIGHT?? It is. I'm really trying to give these cheaper tools an honest go here. I'm not a complete tool snob either. I use what works for the task at hand. Cranking nuts, and bolts off doesn't require anything too special..

This wrench for me gets carried in my pocket. I currently carry a 4" blue point. I bought this as a cheaper alternative for a friend. Comparing the Tekton to the BluePoint... well; it's just not a comparison. The main issue with adjustables(any brand) is the amount of slop in the sliding jaw, and with this it's A LOT!! With the slop comes the inherent tendency for the wrench to loose its adjustment really quickly. So for me, I'd give this to my 12yr Old son, but not a coworker.

I own, and use other tekton tools, and they work great for their intended purposes. The customer service is spot on. You break a tool, fill out their online claim form, and a replacement comes in the mail in a few days.. I've always had positive experiences with them, and will continue to purchase, and use their products.. But I'm always going to be honest about the purchases I make.. Regardless of the manufacturer..

Er, maybe not.

Rough casting and of apparent inferior quality. Does not grip a nut well. Would not have bought if I had known. Not sure why so many good reviews. I do not share that opinion of it. There are better adjustable wrenches out there.Read full review

New Tekton 4 in. Adjustable Wrench 23001- Free Shipping

The first thing that everyone thinks on looking at the wrench is there is a little too much play in the movement. Not to worry, the wrench works smooth and fits fine, that may be why. So far all the tools I have from this company have been good tools. I like the little wrench even though it seems to have a little too much play. I use it often.Read full review

Great little cresent wrench for the price. Smooth and yet strong for its size.

Inexpensive small (4") adjustable end wrench

PRO: As 4 inch adjustable end wrenches go it will get the job done.

CON: The adjustment knob rides on an undersized shaft making the movable jaw a bit sloppy.

Remember the old saying: "you get what you paid for."Read full review

Don't waste your money.

Disappointed, very cheaply made. Sliding jaw is lose. Will not take much pressure, I'm afraid it will break. Not as good as the old, (no longer made), Craftsman 4 inch Crescent wrench. Not worth $9.+ dollars. Possible China Junk? Not worth sending back.Read full review

Poor quality tool that may damage you or what ever you are working on. Very cheaply made. Clearly a disappointment. Dangerous to use.
