The watch has a recessed flat section to accommodate the band. Very clever.
Any flat end 22mm band will work as the buckle type band may not be good for my surfing.
I bought a double lock clasp band.

Seriously, 3 years and 3 months later after 1 battery change without a pressure test I still wear this watch surfing every time I surf.

Beaterwatch on the cheap
At this pricepoint, there isn't really many options on a beater/toolwatch. This one is solid, feels like a quality item it is. Sizewise it's on the larger side, and if you have small wrist, i could look big. Only negative side I have found is that lume is not the brightest, but it still is not a problem.
