Survived fall off counter without damage
The same day I received this item in the mail, it accidentally fell off our kitchen counter and struck our tile floor while I was testing it's functionality. To my relief, the unit showed no sign of exterior damage and continued to work properly. Not the type of durability test I planned on, but it revealed to me all I needed to know about the ruggedness of this item. It's a used item, but with a quick wipe down with a Clorox wipe, it looks practically like new. Easy to set and program, and tough as nails. That's all I can ask from an item like this. Less than a quality timer.
Timer clock is pretty sloppy. Switches on/off +/- 15 minutes from setting. Okay for some uses, but nothing close to precise.
It has mounting holes in back but no way to remove the front to firmly mount unit to a post or wall. Key-hole type mount is best one can do, which is usually only a loose mount at best.
Electric pig tail to plug the unit in is so short that one is required to mount the unit within 6 inches of the power outlet. A longer pig tail would be a minor production cost and give the owner much better flexibility for mounting the timer.

I need a timer for an above ground pool. I drove a stake in the ground by the pump and mounted the timer to it. Easy to hook up and program.
