Just what I was looking for

This is a fair bit to spend on a mouse but I'm very happy with it. I hadn't used a trackball mouse for many years, but this is the best one I've had. Everything works as smoothly as you'd expect from Logitech, buttons are all customisable (though not fully programmable) and it's super comfy to use. My main reason for purchasing was desk space -- mine is limited and not having to move the mouse itself really helps, especially with dragging and dropping, which I do a lot of.

The angle feature is by means of a magnetic plate on which the main unit rocks, so it's a two-position switch between flat and a 20-degree slant, nothing in between. In practice I think the 20-degree setting is going to be good for most users. The fact that it's just a plate that sticks to the mouse also means there's no mechanism to break there. The plate is a good weight and its rubber coating sticks well to the work surface - it's definitely not moving around unless you want it to.

This is a big unit (I guess calling it a rat rather than a mouse would be bad marketing). The size
means it fits and supports your hand much better than a smaller mouse, helped by a rubberised coating on the palm area, similar to the bottom of the base plate. But if you use a laptop in various locations, you might find the Ergo doesn't fit easily into your existing bag. It would be a shame not to take it with you though because it's a big upgrade on a touchpad (which, for me, a regular mouse isn't). Other than that, I don't really have a gripe.

Feature rich, comfortable....The best Trackball on the market

I've been using Logitech trackballs since the original white Trackman Marble in mid 90s and the MX Ergo is by far the most comfortable and feature rich Trackball so far. The user programmable buttons allow for great customisation and the ability to raise/tilt base makes it very comfortable for long gaming sessions.Read full review...

MX Ergo - love it

Awesome. Several years ago I changed over to an MX Ergo after suffering RSI in my hand from using regular mouse - and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. No more pain in mouse hand, and can use it anywhere (eg with laptop on the couch, sitting up in bed) because no need to use it on a flat surface. Great battery life (rechargeable), nice & solid. Every so often clean the inside of the ball socket with a Q-tip cotton bud, which is quick & easy.Read full review...

At last I have control

Tried all different types of pointing devices for my computer linked up to large TV in lounge room. This mouse is by far the best for navigating the big screen. Well built and the ball glides the cursor across the screen with ease and accuracy. Read full review...

Getting this for my arm/back pain

Have been suffering from horrible arm/back pain due to bad sitting/ergonomics of my workdesk. Read some reviews and apparently this is good- haven’t fully tested it yet but trackball is really easy to use(that was my first worry) but probably not the best mouse if you intend to game with this. Set up the ‘flow’ function which allows you to copy and paste from one computer to another - works on both pc and mac perfectly!Read full review...

Amazing must-have little device

Way better than the last version. The biggest disappointment with old version was wobbly base with pads stick to the base. The solid metal plate is way more sturdy. The best track ball mouse ever made.Read full review...

A mouse that your thumb moves the cursor, not your hand

I have had a few mice in my years, mainly Logitech mice.
I had a light weight G400, a beautiful mouse to enjoy, but it was light for me; I ended giving that mouse to my cardiologist.
I enjoy a heavy mouse and I game, so after buying & trying a G500 mouse, I ended up with a G502 Proteus, a weight adjustable mouse that suited me as I play FPS; but it made my wrist sore (carpal tunnelling).
So I got myself the pleasure to use MX Vertical, and my sore wrists went; but I still game with my G502. at night.
But I was still doing the crazy mouse dance across a mat (my cat enjoyed it thou), so I thought I would try the MX Ergo.
After teaching my hand not to move, but use your thumb instead, I started to really enjoy using the MX Ergo, so much so, I have not gone back to the MX Vertical yet. I finally am happy with a mouse to use all day, the only downside is my cat is not happy. Can't win them all :)

Solid product

Product is well built and the base is well structure to prevent moving the whole "mouse"
Getting used to track ball takes some time. Especially when you need delicate movement such as expanding a column in a table or resizing a window.
the only drawback is the lack of the scrolling capabilities found in the regular MX master mouse where you have 2 positions for the scrolling element which allows smoother scrolling across large documents.
I would like to see also a higher degree of freedom then the only 2 positions there are.
The SW is good and the matching to the existing connector I have was a breeze keeping the old mouse connected as well till I get used to the new one

Logitech MX Ergo is great

Logitech MX Ergo is great! I have recently been diagnosed with RSI in both arms and found that after about 15minutes on the computer, the Pins and Needle sensation in my right hand from the wrist down was excruiating, so I purchased the Ergo with the hope of being able to double my time on the computer before the pain set in. After a week of installing the Ergo, I spent over 4 hours on the computer yesterday before any signs of the RSI emerged, and the pain was minimal. What an improvement!
Thank you Logitech!

Great mouse!

I love its features and the ability to raise it or lower it to suit. I was also impressed at how quickly it arrived at my door!
