Cool Tele Mod
I used this 4 position switch in a Telecaster build to allow switching between series and parallel wiring of the two pickups.
It's a pretty cool mod. There's not a lot of difference between the two positions tone wise. But the output level is changed so you can get a little extra drive at the flip of the switch instead of messing with the other settings or adding another pedal to the chain.
I did have to buy 2 switches, as the first one was damaged. I'm not sure if it arrived that way or if I damaged it when I was soldering the connections. But at least it wasn't a very expensive part to replace.

if you've been thinking about trying a 4 way tele switch, don't try and save money by buying a knock off... i did, and it fell apart on me first time i flicked it. this is the REAL deal, from fender, and works fantastic. includes a proper wiring diagram for this particular switch, its built nice and solid and works perfectly. the switching positions go left to right (looking down) neck and bridge in series, which is a KILLER sound for leads or rhythms, very much like a phat p90 kinda tone... then neck, then neck and bridge in paralell, standard tele sounds, and finally bridge. this sucker ROCKS! get one. you won't regret it.Read full review...

Why are you missing this ?
This Mod is a MUST. You don't lose anything. All the previous sounds are there, exactly the same. But the new series position gives you a fatter sound with higher output which is great for solos. It's like having a new invisible humbucker installed on your guitar.
