A watch is something which is expressive and functional. You rely on it for many things, but when does a watch reach timelessness? The Bat Symbol has been something which taught me to read, imagine, memorize, and reflect. My first exposure to this symbol was the first comic book I purchased. Batman. I later watch the television show with my Uncle when it showed on rerun TV when we spent summers at his house. I have followed Batman since the 70’s and all the variations. Yet that Symbol prevails. This watch was given to my 10 year old son, who is becoming an aficionado of Batman. I t is a simple symbol of a superhero with no special powers, but a drive to fight and right what happened to him as a child when his parents were murdered by a common thief. This watch represents an heirloom of something I never lost interest in. That Symbol to me is to work harder as Bruce Wayne did to uphold that there is a defender of good. In these tense and frightening times, we need some representation of good in our lives. I will teach my son the importance of believing in a symbol that I reflects good.Read full review...
