The modular adapter that gives the phone more power, be careful though these are model specific to your carrier. Now that that is out the way you ha e just purchased a add in that will help turn the already awesome camera into a phenomenal one. Now I am not a fan of a case less phone but it is necessary to take advantage of all the features and be unique because everyone has a iPhone and iPhones have crap camera's along with buggy Eco systems but I digress here is the deal external controls to give us shutter bugs more control over the camera and to boot u get a secondary battery 🔋. Now there are some naysayers who be moan the bump that ruins the sleek lines of the phone, but hey you have a 16mp shooter that has full dslr controls, ois stability, multi modes, wide angle and zoom functions why would you not want a add on that takes advantage of these features? Limited instructions, LG offer limited instructions on the installation. ATT Cell phones doesn't come with the firmware installed in the phones. Great add on module for the keen photographer
I'm a keen photographer and I love the LG phones because their cameras are way better (in my opinion) then other phone manufacturers out there...so I decided to go ahead and buy this add on module for those days I go out and just take photos with my phone..Of course I use my real camera for the more serious pictures..but this phone can take some awesome shots when needed...anyway...The first thing I needed to do was charge the module as it has it's own built in power supply..and as some have mentioned it does actually top your phone up for about 5 mins when initially connected..but after this it looks after itself...Of course you cannot use your phone cover should you have one fitted ...leaving it to any knocks or drops...the price you have to pay to use this module,but it's worth it..Once fitted you have full control of taking photos and using the zoom with a jog wheel...I found it quite positive,unlike some who said it was a bit willy nilly...I didn't find this...I found it quite responsive and accurate...What I liked the most was the fact you could get a good grip of your phone and using it one handed was a doddle and it felt more secure then just the camera itself...Is it a gimmick..?...I don't think so on a personal level...but that's because I'm a keen photographer...the casual user will probably think different...but everyone has their opinion...Like I said earlier...I got it at a much reduced price so it was a sweeter deal for me and I like it ...a lot...my one star reduction was simply due to the fact I can't use my phone case as well....Cheers.Read full review...

This particular one is North America use only. The Cam Plus will require the LG Friends Manager app for operation. Fun toy, not a tool.
