Gritty look at the underbelly of Brisbane life beside the river.

Set in Brisbane and wonderfully written. The story follows Lola's unwitting involvement in the Brisbane drug dealing scene, as a direct result of being left parentless and without a house (her term). The characters are all very real, and it's quite a shock to realise that many people are forced to live in this way. I loved this book as much as Trent's debut, Boy Swallows Universe.
