Tool Of My Trade For Years.
I feel the bad reviews are unfounded.
These were my tool of trade in tropical agriculture and saw many years of extreme hard work.
Only after years of sharpening did they need replacing as the blade reduced in surface and weight.
I would shave, sandpaper and oil the handle to be a comfortable grip for long hours of use.

The handle is not hardwood...after an hour or so of use the blade begins to loosen and the rivets also begin to lose their grip.The handle is made of wood not hard enough to contain the rivets that work loose.
