Harley Softail pogo seat

Very expensive. I expected high quality German engineering and fitment. First, there is a language issue. Then I was informed that modifications to the Harley electronics should be made in order to fit the front mount. The stock Harley wiring for the '98 electronic dash interfered with the mount. I did not want to do that, so I modified the front mount as well as raising it. Had to make a new pin for the front mount because of clearance issues. Sloppy fit in front hinge even with the supplied hinge pin. After finding the exact spot that the shock mount would be happy, I drilled and tapped the Harley frame, spaced the mount and bolted down with button heads. Next I find that the shock has only about 1/4" travel. Was told that I might be able to adjust the air in the thing because it is a 'strut". Gotta be kidding! Then, I find that as the T bar would effectively have the rear mount extend as the seat travels down, the shock has no provision to compensate like the original pogo units did.
I have cut and modified parts so I know that I won't be able to return this item. Going back to my spring mounted solo seat. I will continue to try re-engineering this thing as I love the concept.
Bottom line; if you are looking for a highly engineered, high quality, simple retro modification for your 1998 Softail, this ain't it.
