Runaway Horses

This is the second offering from Belinda Carlisle's solo career and in my opinion, her best work. The lyrics are smart and moody, the style is a well paced pop with a Spanish flare.
The song "La Luna" is pure magic. It draws you in with in with a sexy air and tells the story of a man she fell in love with under the light of the moon. They parted ways after a steamy night and she could never find him again.

"Summer Rain" has wonderful keyboard work. The lyrics tell a story about two lovers giving a passionate goodbye before her man goes off to war. He never comes back so she is left with the memory of the Summer rain.

"Valentine" is another classic piece. The lyrics pick fun at the concept by saying: "Valentine. I know you're not mine."

The album rounds off with "The shades of Michael Angelo", a song of peace through a painters point of view.

If you didn't really like the Go-Go's, be assured this album doesn't have the same style. I'm not a Go-Go's fan, but I LOVE this album!!!

Runaway Horse, Carlisle Best CD

This is one of her best Cd's if not the best. From Leave A light On to Shades of Michaelangelo which is the best on the CD and has style all it's own. This was not too hard to find on EBay at a dencent price. Other sites listed it higher in various conditions. There were no problems with the CD or the insert art. I would reccomend it for any Carlilse fan.Read full review...

Belinda: All Grown Up

Belinda has never sounded lovelier than when singing the Runaway Horses selections. Mature vocals singin mature topics make this her best effort IMO. Better than Heaven and Belinda!
