Great Disney DVD classic. Recommend to buy.

I bought this product for my son's third birthday. This is a fantastic Disney classic. I use my newer Playstation3 console as my DVD player. Sometimes if a DVD is too much older than its player it won't play well, or at all. This specific 2005 version of Bambi plays perfectly; loads quickly, views properly, and has quality audio. However, though I output my audio through a receiver, the volume has to be turned up louder with this DVD relative to the regular volume range. Overall, an outstanding product.Read full review...

BAMBI REVISITED

I REALLY ENJOYED BAMBI THIS TIME AROUND. I SAY THIS BECAUSE THE LAST TIME I WATCHED IT MUST HAVE BEEN TWENTY YEARS AGO. THE STORY OF BAMBI IS NOT OF HIM LOSING HIS MOTHER, LIKE I USED TO THINK. NO, ITS ABOUT HIM FINDING COURAGE AND MATURING. I USED TO THINK , IT WAS ALL ABOUT A DEER LOSING ITS MOTHER.ITS ALOT MORE. I NEVER REMEMBERED THE FATHER HAVING EVEN BEEN IN THE MOVIE.BUT HE PLAYS AN IMPORTANT PART OF BAMBI'S LIFE. THAT MADE ME BUYING THE MOVIE FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD SON ALL THE MORE GRATIFYING TO ME.
THE POINT I'D MOST LIKE TO GET ACCROSS IS THIS: TAKE TIME AND WATCH THIS MOVIE WITH YOUR CHILD , BE SURE TO EXPLAIN THE FUNNY PARTS AND THE SAD PARTS. BUT BE THERE WITH THEM BECAUSE LIKE IN THIS MOVIE YOUR FAMILY TIES AND TIME TOGETHER ARE WHAT TRULY MATTERS.

Buyer Beware

I can only write a review based on my experience with the product and the product is defective, does not work at all, therefore my review must be a negative one, with a positive in that I did learn from it.
This is in regard to a DVD of Walt Disney's Bambi. I understood it was a used item, but I also clearly read in the description that it was in a working, but used condition. A simple visual examination of the item was telling enough in that there are at least two spots on the DVD that are worn away and therefore there is nothing on those two places. Disregarding those issues, the DVD just would not load. I only have one explanation for that but anyone reading this can draw their own conclusions.
Therefore, I must remind everyone to beware, be sure, read it well and if it is non returnable or non refundable, forget it.
I have a four year old grandson that has never seen Bambi and thanks to his unfortunate situation, he did not get to with Garndma this past weekend, but he will and I have learned a very valuable lesson: I will never purchase used media again.Read full review...

Great old movie

The movie entertained my granddaughter, just as I remembered. But the second, extras disc didn’t play. We did get to see the movie just like I remembered.

Great movie. Brings back good memories!

I purchased Bambi 2 about five months ago. Bambi 2 is definetly a heart touching movie and is a great DVD to add to your collection if you love Disney movies and/or have children. But the only thing that I didn't like is that the first Bambi wasn't available because Disney only releases their old movies every once and a while. Therefore, I went on e-bay and found the first one, used but in great shape. My three year old daughter can't get enough of this movie. If you love nature and love being in the great outdoors you will love this movie. It touches on deep subjects that haven't lost it's touch even though this movie was made quite some time ago. This one of the best movies I have purchased on e-bay and for a great price. A++++ Way better than all these movies that they come up with now-a-days. I miss good old animated movies that feature fabulous artwork. The new computer animated movies just don't look organic. It's too bad Walt Disney himself can't be brought back to life. Absolutely love this timeless classic. My 2 year old grandson and I watch it often and we're learning all kinds of things about animal names and sounds, colors, counting, etc. as we watch together. He's a bit young yet to make use of the extra features but I'm sure as he grows we will do that. I'm looking forward to the day when I can explain the "Thumper Theory" as I call it to him - If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. This is one I can't imagine ever getting tired of. I would highly recommend this product to anyone of any age but especially those with young children.Read full review...

Touching family movie that should be part of your Disney collection.

Great buy. I usually buy at random, but, my special needs daughter specifically requested this movie. I was pleasantly surprised. She (and I) were both proud that she got through the sad part of the movie like a BIG girl! A must see for kids.
