I enjoyed this film although the idea of the Civil War boat crossing the Atlantic after being filled with holes and then going up the Niger River into the dessert before the sands covered it is a bit far fetched. Glad to see Dirk Pitt brought to life from Clive Cusslerds excellent books. A great popcorn film, suspend believe and you in for a treat. Good main role in Matthew McC and his side kick. Its a fun film you can put on and watch untill the end and not worry about. Its sort of a idiana jones type film with a bit of james bond and all the normal action films. Only bought this due to my mother in law wanting to see it because she had read the book. I have'nt read the book but still enjoyed this film. It's good clean family fun. It's a mixture of Indiana Jones and the Mummy. Similar sort of comedy and the action scenes are quite good too. Just sit back and enjoy it, its a lazy sunday afternoon film that everybody can enjoy.Read full review...
