Nwe D-Link DI-808 router

A replacement for a bricked DI-808. Arrived just as advertised and works perfectly. I would buy another NIB at this price as a spare.

Although some tend to down play D-Link, this is one of few available 10/100 8 port wired routers with jacks on back and activity lights on front panel. This format fits my network communications hub.

I think I have solved the early failure problem which many users report and I have also experienced. I think there was/is a DI-808 overheating problem. Early production (identified by early firmware stickers) had small end cooling holes. I don't think the larger ones on the newer version firmware editions completely fixed the problem. I have now modified the DI-808 case with a small fan and the router now runs 50 degrees cooler inside the case. Time will tell if I am successful and get a longer life.Read full review...

Great small business router.

I needed a router that could allow VPN, tunneling etc. so that I could remotely access several IP cameras from the Internet as well as an NAS drive. The D-link DI-808HV has proven to be well-suited to the task, plenty of ports and settings to tweak, very easy HTML interface, runs cool to the touch and has not presented a single problem thus far.Read full review...
