Quick fix of caffeine but not without problems

The Krups itself is a great coffeemaker except for the one flaw noted by another reviewer. It sprays steam/coffee all over the counter at the end of each cup. After a good look at the machine, I concluded the latch didn't make the rubber seals on the top seat firmly against the coffee pod holders. So I devised a small rubber "O" ring out by cutting it from one of those flimsy rubber jar lid openers that give you a better grip on the lid. I cut it to fit just under the pod holder(s), trimmed at the right spots, and voila', problem solved. I'll still probably contact Krups to see if I have the old faceplate or the new one, and if see if I can get a replacement.

The coffee is only as good as what comes in the pods... Senseo isn't bad and works fine with Krups. Mill Creek is good too. Folgers Regular and Decaf is just what you would expect. Millstone is just OK. Archer Farms (Target) is about the best I've found used in Krups. I'd like to find some premium blends to get a little better cup of coffee.

The convenience and the advantage of a fresh cup of coffee every time is just fantastic. If I can remedy the other problems, I'll never go back to my 12 cup drip coffeemaker except when I have lots of guests.Read full review...

Great pod coffee maker

Easy to use: pilot proof! Our first hand me down Krups lasted for almost 10 years. We had just made a large pod purchase and buying this on eBay was the most simple way to solve the inop coffee pot problem. Warms up in 30 seconds, brews consistently every time. Convenient and easy to use

The coffee maker is in the waiting room of my office.
PROS: It is simple to use and I drink more coffee than ever since it is so convenient. Disposing of the used pod is easy and clean. It does not need a krups brand pod so you can buy from any company.
CONS: I find I am refilling the well often, could be a little bigger but really not a signficant downside. Still well worth the money. The coffee the machine produces is decent but is not great...nothing a little half-n-half can't fix.

Overall the ease and convenience of the machine greatly outweigh any of the cons.Read full review...

Best Single Serve Coffee Maker ever!!!

Best Single Serve Coffee Maker ever made with two individual chambers allowing for couples to brew two completely different types of coffee at the same time, less than a minute. Out does the Kruerig hands down. Paper Pods allow the release of pure coffee flavor while being environmentally friendly. Bought as a backup my original is still working fine, 13 years old now. Krups KP1010 Great buy for the money

This is the second one I have owned and I really love it. I think the Bunn is a little better pod machine but you cant compare the cost difference. This is my second Krups machine and I just love the ease of use and the quality of the expressed coffee is quite good. It is really handy to be able to make two cups of coffee at one time. I have really hard water where I live and I really didnt take as good of care as I should have and it still lasted me about 4 years.
The main thing to watch in order to get a good cup of coffee is the quality of the pods. I almost threw this thing out when I tasted the pods I purchased from the store....BAAAAAAAD I now order them from a couple different companies that make pods and they have been great.Read full review...

A One or Two Cup Piece of Heaven!

I bought 2 of these machines because I couldn't live without one of them at home after I had experienced the one I bought for the office. I use only good gourmet coffee pods, and this machine brings out every ounce of good flavor in each pod. The machine works wonderfully every time as long as one keeps it clean according to the recommendations of the manufacturer. It stays looking quite attractive, too, in the little coffee center I created at the office with just a small bit of wiping off with a damp cloth. Great coffeepod maker!

This is SO much better than the Black & Decker Home Cafe coffeemaker or the Senseo. The Senseo has the advantage of making the coffee foamy but has too little water so the coffee is too strong. There are more settings with the Krups. Not only is it extremely user friendly, but it looks sleek and sophisticated. Handsome on the counter--don't mind looking at it sitting on the countertop. The coffee is delicious and quick. Works with any pods, regardless of brand. Also has attachments for cappucino or latte. I paid $120 for my new one at BB&B. Getting one on EBay was a GREAT idea. So I have another one to use at work, or in my RV. Would not want any other coffee podmaker. Also, you can always count on Krups to make quality products!Read full review...

A little messy around the edges :)

I love the coffee :)
It works with the senseo coffee pods (not the cappuccino), it also works with the regular tea bags, just fold the corners and make a perfect tea...
Now to the messy part, when it's done making your cup of coffee, it will spray steam (with coffee stains) all around the machine, so if you want a clean counter top, be willing to spend all the time you didn't waste making the coffee cleaning your kitchen...Read full review...

The Best Pod Brewer You Can Buy

The Krups KP1010 is the best pod brewer I've ever owned.
