Alex is accompanying his sister Bea and her best friend Amy for their first time abroad--young Americans who have come to exotic Brazil for fun, adventure and the promise of foreign pleasures. On a rickety bus rocketing up a twisting mountain road, they meet the beautiful Pru, who is in Brazil for the sole purpose of experiencing the beautiful Brazilian women they've heard so much about. After enduring a bus crash which strands them in the middle of nowhere, Alex, Bea, and their band of traveling companions attempt to salvage their day by seeking out a cabana bar on a nearby beach rather than wait an endless amount of time for the next bus to come by. The discovery of the beautiful and secluded beach gives way to a day in the sun and surf, an afternoon at the bar, and a night of exotic liquors and hot dancing with the locals. It's everything their vacation is supposed to be, until they wake up face down in the sand the following morning, drugged and robbed, their possessions gone, and the trace of real danger in the air. Paradise Lost - Melissa George & Josh Duhamel

A good horror film about a group of young holidaymakers trying to enjoy the Brazilian hospitality.
After a bus crash, the tourist find a tiny slice of Paradise in the shape of a bar on the beach.r>But the locals are not what they seem.
Similar to Hostel but with a different spin.
Slow in places and the two 'English' lads sound like Americans with terrible English accents. Even so, I enjoyed it and would watch it again.Read full review...

Paradise Lost

An horror film, quite enjoyable and good to watch.
Group of backpackers on holiday, end up on a lovely beach which they thought was a Paradise after a bus crash.
They decided to stay on instead of getting another bus, the people are not what they seem to think. Found themselves without all their possesions the next day. Was advised to go to a safe place by a local man, but they were led into something they shouldn't got into in the first place.
The ending was a bit slow, not really bold ending but yet still good film to watch.Read full review...

GORE FEST!!!

I watched this film at the cinema when it came out and the first thing my fiance and I said was, "We're never going to Mexico then!". (We said the same about Prague after watching Hostel!!!).
This is a fantastic gore fest of a film. Blood from start to finish. Very believable story, unlike some horror flicks that come out nowadays.
When they are in the caves gasping for breath I can barely breathe myself because it's such a scary scene.
