Blown Bass Speaker

Bose & iMac... a perfect match!

Price is always a factor with me, but so is quality. The struggle between the two is monumental at times and buying the Bose Companion III speakers for my new 24" iMac was an all out wrestling match! But finally I concluded that if I had the best computer money could buy... I needed the best speakers to complete the package.

So, I bite the bullet and shelled out the bucks... and I was NOT disappointed! Simple to hook-up, simple controls, simple style and simply AMAZING sound!

Here are some reasons the Companion III works so well with iMac:
First... The two little satellite speakers have the same wedge shape pedestal as the iMac... although obviously much smaller and black instead of aluminum... yet the style is identical.
Second... The gray of the grills on the satellites and the sub-woofer match the aluminum finish of the iMac. They look great together!
Third... It's a simple one plug connection to the iMac's headphone jack with supplied Bose cables. Simple is good!
Forth... The round Bose control pad can sit on the iMac pedestal and it is super easy to operate and with a very clever mute system that only requires a tap with your finger with a tiny LED letting you know if the speaker system is active or muted.
Fifth... You never lose the headphone jack of your computer, because it's now right on the control pad along with another mini jack input, to plug in other audio sources, such as iPods, etc. to be played on your Bose speakers.

So, if you want the best speakers to go with your awesome iMac... then Bose Companion III is the answer hands down!!!Read full review...

It's possible it's just this particular used system i bought...

But with all the people writing about how loud it is and the booming bass (not all reviews), i was really disappointed that i had my subwoofer on as loud as it could go and it was fairly anemic. and on top of that the mediocre to non-existent mid-range made this a bad buy... my experience only... :(Read full review...
