So far, the best solution I have found. I hope they invent something better soon

Pros:
-Looks more robust than other similar products. I have had it for 1 month and so far it has not broken.
-The sound quality is OK. it is more difficult to understand my podcasts, but I hope to get used to not having an earbud.
-It is easier to connect to the computer with the magnetic USB. I hope this makes the connection more durable. Other similar products have died because connecting them to the computer becomes impossible.

Cons:
-It is difficult to figure out how to turn on and off, how to turn the volume up and down. and for heavens sake, why the gigantic double-arrow button in the bottom?
-I hope the cable lasts, but it is disheartening that when it wears up with use, the whole product will become unusable. So far it looks robust, but all the twisting and turning will eventually kill the product and I hate to know that I will have to buy a new one in a short time.

Not that special

A fellow swimmer recommended the Finis, so my expectations were high. It was fairly straightforward loading it with music - but the "1,000 songs" claim overstates what it actually holds: my 645 pop songs took 3.4 gb (85% of the space). It attaches well to the swim goggles and stays in place during flip-turns. I don't use earplugs, so the normal splash sounds from swimming are more noticeable when you're trying to listen to music on Finis Duo. The product seems solidly built and well designed, but the quality of sound is so-so: like those old transistor radios from the 1960s. The sound changed depending on head position; underwater had better sound than above the water. Vocal parts usually came through reasonably well, but the background music/band/orchestration turns into one big mess. I have not tried a podcast.Read full review...

I must say these Finis Duo are the very best so far

I have been reading positive and negative reviews about these Finis before buying until I decided to give them a try.
I am a swimmer and I have used other conventional mp3 players at the pool, with poor results, especially when it comes to flip turns (I like my current wireless Sony nwz-ws615 series, but the sound is dull when using the water pads, and most annoyingly, water gets into my ears when flip turning. Therefore, I ended up using them when I am "out" of the water, because they are very confortable and the Bluetooth feature is useful... so, it is pointless when it comes to swimming).
I must say these Finis Duo are the very best so far. Really comfortable to use, excellent clip to the goggles, no problems with flip turns AT ALL, the sound quality under water is AMAZING taking into consideration that my ears are absolutely free and I can still listen to the environment and/or people talking to me with these on, and I am not using earplugs, only the swim cap is more than enough to me. Regarding the magnet charger, I experienced no issues with the charging process, the magnet on my unit is very powerful (note that I have the new model, I think, which is number 011116, probably some improvements were made).
To sum up: I am REALLY satisfied. I have never expected such a positive combination of comfort, sound quality (of course, listening to HI FI mp3 tracks) and long-lasting battery (only charged it once and have used it for 3 whole sessions of 2-3 hours each so far, and no "low battery" indicator).
I will keep on using it and let you know how it performs - My best underwater set, to date!

Awkward at first, but all obstacles overcome and very worth the purchase. Good sound and easy setup.

I have had this a short time. At first I did not like it that it had to be threaded on swimming goggles because it makes land use a little awkward. But the sound is very good and I have made the adaptions to be happy with this. I had about 15 Sony's Waterproof MP3 and they all crapped out. So disappointed in Sony I looked around and this seemed to be the consensus pick. Happy that I got one.Read full review...

Gets the Job Done

I recommend this product simply because the design is better than almost all other underwater MP3 players. It's unobtrusive and gets the job done. Volume could be louder - I'm a pretty smooth swimmer but sometimes my movements drown out the sound - I assume it must be even more annoying for people who splash. I've had a lot of USB connection problems with this particular device, but I have figured out some workarounds. I don't think it's a widespread product issue.Read full review...

Not iTunes compatible.

While I'm sure this could be a great product. Unfortunately iTunes no longer lets you format songs in MP3 format. So currently you can't upload songs. I can make an appointment at the Apple Store and they mentioned they "might" be able to assist. Was hoping I would t have to go out of my way to do that in order to use this product. I probably wouldn't have purchased if I knew it was going to this type of issue. I feel a lil duped by finis because in sure they're aware of this issue or if they aren't they should've been as it makes their directions useless.Read full review...

Finis duo

The hardest thing was figuring out how to upload songs in MP3 format to the Finis duo...it actually is quite easy in iTunes. You have to highlight each individual song, go to "file" on the iTunes menu, then scroll to "convert" - select, MP3. Works like a charm.Read full review...

great mp3

I have used finis since they were available and have only now replaced my original model with this new one. Best mp3 for swimming IMO - I hate ear buds and never can work the proper size in any event - but these are great - they stay on your goggles perfectly and the sound is pretty good - it is better sound when your ears are in the water than out. the bone conduction is very good. It would be great if the fast forward etc buttons were a little more elevated but thats a small thing as I just have the tracks in order via the puterRead full review...

Quality product!

Adding music to the Duo is easy if you are good with computers. The only reason I gave the product a 4/5 is that I have trouble adjusting the volume up and down if I don't take my goggles off of my head.Read full review...

Finis duo 👍

Great product. Works so well underwater.
Could use better functions relating to track selection. Would be great if it could pair with your mobile phone for music and calls.
You may have some problems at first getting your goggles to seal, just adjust position of the duo and tighten goggles slightly.
Overall they're excellent for intended use which is a hard training session in the pool.
Training wouldn't be the same without them now. Love using them. Makes the time in the pool go much quicker.
Highly recommend
