Must Have for the Canon EF 70-200 F/4.0

This is an original Canon product so it's designed to work with the Canon EF 70-200mm F/4.0 lens. You need a ring to use this lens with a tripod as the lens is too heavy and long to depend on the camera tripod mount. There are lots of options out there, but IMHO the Canon is the best one to use since it's not only designed by the same company that designed the lens, it's heavy duty and 100 percent metal, not plastic.
