Just what was needed at a great price
I needed to replace the yellowed, clouded headlights on our old 2000 Mercury Mountaineer. It would have been an easy job except for these retaining clips, which are pretty much a one-time use item. Getting them off was tuff. Getting them off w/out breaking them was nearly impossible because they have locking fingers which must be spread outward before the clips can be pulled off. For this a circlip removing tool eventually did the job, but I ended up breaking 2 of the 4 clips in the process (there are 2 per headlight). Buy this before you install your new headlights
Bought these after I installed new headlights. Should have bought them at the same time as the lights.
The old ones can be reused but they are a bear to remove without damaging them.
