AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2 GHz Processor

Bought one used. (no box) So far (after 2 weeks...) I've had no problems with the CPU, but right after I installed it, a 5-year old hard drive (the boot drive, natch...) crashed, so the chip had about a 5 day rest after only being on for about 5 hours. Once I cleared up the HD situation, the chip's been working fine!

Works great and extended life of computer from single to dual core system

I have had no issues installing the processor. It was an upgrade from single core to dual core CPU. Response time improved and will extend the useful life of the HP DX5150 system that it was installed in. Mind frequency-processor frequency

По сравнению с 3200+ это 2е лёгкое. Фпс в играх выдаёт ниже нормы рекомендуемой для глаз ,мозга и восприятия плавной анимации-от долгой игры болит голова. Например dota2 : 7 fps в конце катки. Процессор минимум загружен на 30% при простое. Браузер с музыкой потребляет до 80% времени от двухядер-3Ghz. Для сравнения браузер на 3200+ зависал периодически на секунд 5 и скролил черепахой при открытии 3 вкладок и более или при долгом скролинге одной вкладки. И вот ещё видео на 3200+ в браузере фпс около 3, а здесь где-то 5 более смотрибельно , но всеравно дёргано. Советую брать самый лучший процессор на этом сокете 939 - но похоже и на нём будут проблемы теже фпс в играх и видео. Вообщем данный сокет и вся линейка не годны для современных игр. Берите современее, не тратьте деньги при увеличении на каких -то 0,2Ghz на ядро, при увеличении цены в 1,5раза. Моё мнение-цена на последний процессор линейки 939 очень завышена по-мойму 4800+.1 сентября 2016.Read full review...

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2 GHz vs 3800 X1 +2.4 GHz

For video processing this 3800 X2 is 50% faster than the X1.....eventhough the clock speed went from 2.4 GHz to 2.0 GHz....

Socket 939 dual-core

If you want to upgrade you Socket 939 mother board to a duel core This Is a good processor for the job.
