Fast processor and easy to overclock!
With a stock 533 Mhz front side bus this processor is very fast. This processor can be easily overclocked to 2.8 Ghz by changing the clock speed from 133 Mhz to 140 Mhz. It is very stable at 2.8 Mhz. Without changing the voltage 3.0 Ghz is possible but is not as stable as 2.8 Ghz. Some people have been able to change the voltage on the chip to get up to 3.4 Ghz.Read full review...
A great Northwood based CPU, even if it isn't the top.
Well, though I find it odd to write a review for a CPU, let's give it a try. This CPU was used to replace a similar Northwood-based P4 that was running at 2GHz. The 2.66GHz is snappier, seems to generate similar amounts of heat, and was a cheap upgrade for an older Dell desktop. What's not to like for a few bucks?Read full review...
Good deal
I rebuild older desktops for folks that can't afford new, or to donate to charities. It is great to be able to get a little more speed out of these older Intel based desktops for a low price. I do the upgrades without charge for the charities, so I really need the good deals.Read full review...
Old but effective.
It is a old workhorse. I bought it to upgrade a friends computer from a 2.2GHZ Pentium 4. Very noticeable difference. These are not comparable to the newer dual core, quad/hex/and eight core processors. But they are serviceable for older computers. They are very dependable, but most definitely not a gaming processor.Read full review...
ok for old computer upgrade
Price i paid was OK its an old CPU but does well for an final upgrade for older computers. Don't know what else to say but the time is coming where these should be sold for the gold in them.
CPU for me
The CPU works as it should I bought it because of price
and feed back rating. I also wanted to upgrade to a faster CPU.
