Tapewounds are awesome.

If you have never tried them. Play a set just once. Different feel, different sound. Had Fender tapewounds before. These are a much nicer string with a very full sound. Playing them on a MIM P bass.

Great strings

Now have them on two basses, a fret less jazz with Dimarzio ultra jazz pups and Ibanez hollow body with piezo pups.
They sound and feel great with lower tension and surprisingly bright but mellow sound, depending on your EQ.

Easy play

I use nylon wraps for the unique tones on my Acoustic electric basses. Also for ease of action and lack of screech you get from phosphor bronze strings. Not sure why Tapewounds are so pricey.

Nice strings. Surprisingly present sounding.

Surprisingly lively sounding.
I am used to DR stainless strings. I went with these to try for a more mellow sound without
the dead sound of flatwounds.
Fingers slide better along them than flats as well.
For the diameter, they are easier to bend than a round wound.
I like them so far.
