Better than newest model

This is a great product. I used a friends and found out how well it worked. I then decided I would by one as well. Unfortunately all I could buy was the newer version of the YX545 which I believe is the ZB545. This unit would not hold the 4g signal and would switch to something else or not give me any service at all. I was finally able to find another YX545 here on ebay and am very happy with this product. Good value but not very strong signal boost

The unit is very easy to set up and install. It is also much lower priced than the competition..However, that low cost also comes with weak signal boost making it barely acceptable in terms of meeting the requirements for our rural location. We are located in a rural area with heavy mature timber and lots of rolling hills. My previous unit, which was made in China, began transmitting on an unauthorized frequency and we received a visit from the frequency police..my terms..but that is their function. I wanted to buy a Wilson replacement system but the cost was prohibitive..So I settled for this Zboost unit..I am thinking now that I should have spent the extra $200+ and got the Wilson..The cellphone tower from which we receive signal is only about 1.75 miles from our house..but there is lots of timber between us and that tower..As I said the Zboost unit is barely acceptable in boosting the signal we receive and transmit....If you are considering buying the Zboost just make sure you have clear or mostly clear line of sight to the tower!!Read full review...

Quality issue

The plastic part of the antennae needs to be made of heavier material .My last one didn't last long & I had to modify it with a piece of pic pipe.

Inexpensive upgrade that makes quality calls possible.

Was a bit skeptical, but after installing, I'm getting Verizon HD voice inside my house now. Before installing this, the signal inside was strong enough to make and receive calls, but they would be choppy and sometimes drop. I have WiFi for web access and don't use carrier data so, I can't comment on internet connectivity, but for calls it is great. Zboost

I have very poor cell signal can put phone in window and get enough signal to use Bluetooth,with zboost can use phone through out the house,the farther away you get from the base unit the weaker the signal but what does it matter if it works,really if my phone was showing no bars and I could make and receive calls without any problems then I am a happy camper.Read full review...

I am delighted with the way my ZBoost SOHO unit works. I went from no bars to 3-4 bars at my home located in a rural area. Really boosts your Wifi!

I cannot get service at my house very well and I live mostly downstairs (basement), I would get 1 or maybe 2 bars on my iPhone without the booster. Now I get 3-4 and have no problems connecting with my phone.Read full review...
