101 Workouts for Women by Muscle and Fitness

I bought this book because I'm an intermediate weight trainer looking for some fresh ideas for my workout. The book shows you the basics, but also gives you advanced moves with a ton of variations; exercises with every type of equipment (machines at the gym, medicine ball, inflatable ball, bands, hand weights, etc.) Every page is in color, and it divides the book by sections: abs, legs, chest, shoulders, etc. It's great for beginner and intermediate/advanced trainers because it shows options for if you work out in your living room or more advanced ideas at the gym (such as front squats with the Smith machine or a pike pushup). The book also gives you ideas for putting your workout into action; which exercise to combine and creating a weekly workout. I also like that the 'models' in this book look like 'real' athletes and not stick-thin women who look like they survive on carrots and 2 hours of cardio a day.

I am very happy with this purchase. The only thing I wish the book had was a more detailed explanation of the specific muscle being worked in each exercise (i.e, I know I'm working the shoulder, but which part of the shoulder). Other than that, this is a great book! I highly recommend it!

Great Book. Full of new ideas for the same old exercises. As good as having a personal trainer if you take the time to go through the book before your workout and jot down notes on the specific body part you want to work out.
