Great for the price.
Very nice wifi adapter, especially for the price! Works well and the only thing I would recommend considering is the size of the antenna. If you are looking for something compact, you should understand that the antenna does stick out several inches but can be pointed different directions. With that said, the adapter does work without the antenna piece, it just gets a slightly weaker connection. Overall, very happy with this wifi adapter and I will be using it for a desktop pc.Read full review...

Don't waste your time or money. I'd give it zero stars if that was an option.
I read all the reviews. Very mixed. Mine was like the rest of the negative ones; it worked for three minutes, then died. Yes, I installed the drivers correctly. That should be obvious as it did work, but literally for three minutes. Then it disconnected itself and no computer I've tried it in (all Windows. 5 different Win7 and one XP). It shows up as an unknown device and the device manager tells me the device is not responding. Yes, I followed all the directions including disabling the other network controllers and devices before installing the first time when it worked and all the other times since. It's dead Jim. And now, in a landfill.Read full review...

Just install the driver
I bought this for a Windows XP computer that lives across the house from the Wi-Fi transmitter. It comes with a mini CD (the kind that's about 2 inches in diameter) with the driver and some proprietary software to manage the Wi-Fi connection. The installation instructions, also on the CD, seemed good enough I tried installing the whole thing. Sure enough, even though the instructions were designed for Windows XP, there was one step the instructions didn't mention. Worse, I couldn't get the WI-Fi management program to work. After a couple of tries, I uninstalled all the software (that worked) and reinstalled just the driver, using the "Let Windows manage the Wi-Fi connection" option. That worked fine, perhaps because I'm used to the way Windows manages Wi-Fi connections from other computers.
I still gave the gadget five stars. Recently I was carping at an IT person about the sorry state of the instructions that come with software. The IT person said any instructions they write go out of date in a week -- the operating systems, etc., that a given program has to interact with get updated that fast. I suppose the lesson to learn is to let Windows manage add-on gadgets like this one, and don't mess with the proprietary software unless Windows doesn't do what you need.Read full review...

No good! Do not Buy!! Not a good quality product!!!
This product did not install the drivers easily and once they were installed, my devices did not recognize the connection at all times. And after it did recognize the connection, it often dropped the connection during mid- usage. So I do not recommend this product in any way! I am a computer technician that has used similar 802.11 wireless LAN n/g/b/ network adapters to connect both desktops and laptops with non-working internal cards to the WEB. But this product is substandard to other products of similar quality, value and price. So I do not recommend this item! I am highly disappointed in its performance and I regret that I purchased it. It did not work well at all!Read full review...

It broke after second use
the quality of this product is very low. it was easily damaged then I tried to insert it to my laptop. Please stay away from this adapter. you will lose your money it's all.
Ok, I dissembled it, i didn't damaged the connector, there wasn't such thing. it's just a single chip it is all. there was/is a flaky connection with the usb portRead full review...

Surprisingly good
This adapter is only rated at 150 mbps, so don't expect too much. Using speedtest, I was able to get about 35Mbps internet download instead of 60 with ethernet. Its good enough for gaming, video streaming or web browsing.
The build quality is surprisingly good. The plastic housing feels high quality. The antenna also stays in place very nicely.
Installation was a breeze. I didn't have to use the installation cd, I just plugged it in and the windows default driver worked fine.Read full review...

Lightweight, Works Great!
Lightweight, easy to use, no issues. Just install the drivers from the disk and plug the adapter into a standard USB port and you are good to go. Got me back up and running on my laptop in nothing flat.Read full review...

USB network card
If your internal card has stopped working, this is a great replacement. Takes up very little space using one USB port and didn't even need to load the software that did come with the item. Very happy with this purchase.Read full review...

Bad WIFI adapter.
I have owned two of these, and both times did they burn up. The device over-heats and fries itself. Do not waste your money, because a few more dollars will get you a decent quality adapter. Feel free to spend 5 bucks, but you get what you pay for, and sometimes less.Read full review...
