I bought one of these units to try. I was pleased with the product, so I ordered three more. In looking over the other buyer's reviews, I noticed comments about being cheaply made or having flimsy clamps. This unit can't be the one they reviewed. The clamps for example, are the best that I have seen on a small charger/maintainer, and I have owned over a dozen different brands. You can look at the picture of the product which is accurate. Perhaps the wording "upgrade" in the listing implies that this unit has been substituted for a previous inferior one?
I have only had two units installed for about two weeks, so I cannot speak to their long-term reliability. I use these only as maintainers in float mode to keep my farm vehicle batteries topped up over the winter. I am using them on 6V and 12V batteries. So far everything is excellent. A reminder: this is a 1.2 amp "charger". That hardly qualifies it to charge a regular car battery if it is discharged. It is not designed to do that, nor is any other manufacturer's brand with similar specs. Topdon makes a similar 4amp (4000) model that would be much more appropriate for that purpose.Read full review...

Unusable!
I have received the device but cannot use it. Two windows missing in main menu (Auto WIN, EOBD). The software downloads are OK, but the device does not work when the diagnostic cable is connected. Changing the language doesn't work either! I need urgent information about the operation. This device is not user friendly!

Maybe if it had decent tech support.
I still use my old, outdated Actron scan tool. That’s how much I like this Launch. I think this tool has some potential, but without any instructions or help from tech support, it’s essentially useless. One of the main reasons I picked this specific model is because it has so many different functions, including TPMS reset. I cannot figure out how to get this action to work. I’ve emailed the Launch company multiple times over the last 6 months and cannot even get a response. I definitely regret my purchase, and encourage others to look at a different brand of scan tool. Nice scanner untill i had to scan a nissan pathfinder 2000 and 2004. I tried to scan both of them, but the scanner didn't work, neither manual. I tried actualisation, but didn't work neither.I dont know if i will have more problems in the future,i hope not. Another issue is the internet connection.
