An efficient filter for home-made wines.
These filters almost always clarify home-made wines to perfect clarity. The filters are not immune from blocking up - but that is linked how they work by removing particulate matter not removable by enzyme treatment.
I routinely divide a 10-litre batch into 5 x 2 litre bottles for settling and sedimentation and one Crystalbrite filter pad often suffices for the entire volume. This avoids the lengthy "settling and maturation" times required for those recipes that start with "harvest a field of" to make a single gallon of wine or mead.Read full review...
